Nomination Guidelines

Nominations are now accepted

For the 5th time, Golden Women in Business invites its members to nominate other influential GWiB members for the 2025 GWiB Golden Gems Awards.

GWiB is accepting nominations until March 9th, 2025. Awards will be announced during the Founders Day event on April 9th, 2025.

Criteria to receive an award:

Other Considerations:

  • The person who is doing the nomination needs to be a GWiB member.

  • The criteria for the awards is applicable for the community being geographically Golden or Jeffco.

  • Additional considerations are given for 3+ or 5+ years GWiB membership of the nominee.

  • Additional consideration is given to participation in GWiB events (i.e. we want to make sure someone wins who is actively participating in GWiB events).

  • Nominations are valid for 3 years (i.e. we keep them on file and the person could potentially win in one of the following 2 years).

  • Brand new members (less than 1 year GWiB membership) are not eligible.

  • The same person cannot win multiple awards in one year. If a person is nominated for one award but is a better fit for the other award, then the committee can make that decision to move the candidate to the other award.

  • Current GWiB board members cannot win the Eliza or Helen awards but can win the Founder’s award (Annie Hammond, DD Rockwell, Deb Starkey, Docia Boylen, Liz Hart, Liz Lautrup, Lora Engesser, Megan Hymanson, Ursula Webhofer, Wendy Renee)

  • Past winners are not eligible to be nominated again for a total of 5 years (mix & match Eliza/Helen/Founder’s award). (Mara Prendergast, Annie Hammond, Kim Mangle, Nadine Wilson, Stacy Fowler, Deb Starkey, DD Rockwell, Ursula Webhofer, Jen Thoemke, Wendy Renee, Carrie Priester, Georgina Miller).

  • People on the Awards Selection Committee cannot be nominated and cannot nominate (Deb Starkey,  Annie Hammond, Jen Thoemke, Mara Prendergast, Nadine Wilson, Wendy Renee, and Liz Lautrup).
